Members of Applause of Bel Air Baton Twirling Corps competed in July at AYOP (America’s Youth on Parade) Baton Twirling National Competition in South Bend, Indiana. The Senior Large Beginner Dance Twirl team won first place to become the National Champions in their division.

Twirling was celebrated with a week long competition held at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana. Twirlers from all over the US and Canada traveled various distances to compete on a national level.
read more"Twirltacular Extravaganza" Grand Championships were held in Memphis, TN on March 15, 2008. Over 147 competitive twirlers and dancers competed in team and individuals events. More then 6 states of competitors were present at the event and fun was had by all who attended.

Kristen was previously the captain and feature twirler at Santiago High School in Corona, CA where she just graduated as the class valedictorian. She will be majoring in Political Science. She holds the title of 2008 Miss Majorette of California, Intermediate - Senior Division.

Meaghan competed against girls from all over the United States. She took first place in Solo and Strut and placed third in Best Appearing to capture the win.
read moreIn June 2007, the University of Tennessee held their first ever mini twirling camp in Knoxville, TN. They held their camp in conjunction with the Twirltacular Grand Championships contest and what a turnout of campers! All proceeds were used for the upcoming football season twirling expenses. They made over $2,000 for their football twirling expenses, an accomplishment itself.
