Calling All College Twirlers

CALLING ALL COLLEGE TWIRLERS - WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

The movement toward NCAA acceptance for baton twirling as a sport is well underway.

The 1st Intercollegiate Baton Twirling Competition will be held January 29, 2005 at Cumberland College in Lebanon, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. A seminar will be held Saturday, previous to the competition, and a clinic will be held on Sunday.

The NCAA has set guidelines that we, as baton twirlers, must follow in order to gain their acceptance. We need college twirlers from all over the country to come and attend this seminar, to learn what must be done. It is you ΓÇô the college twirler ΓÇô that must do this. The athletes that are currently in college must ΓÇ£take the bull by the hornsΓÇ¥, learn what must be done and do it!!! You are a key factor in the future of NCAA twirling.

Come compete against other colleges, learn new material, and most of all be one of the original athletes that change the direction and overall acceptance of baton twirling. This is a major step toward recognition and scholarships. Come be a part of it!

The weekend also includes some opportunities for high school juniors and seniors.
